SERVING THE FAMILY OF FAITH IN MINISTRY

As members of Faith Church we value the gifts God has given us to serve each other in worship and mission. Has God called you to one of these ministries? Contact Dcn. Cindy for information about serving with any of our ministry teams.

Altar Guild - care for the sacred items of worship, set up for worship and clean up after worship.

Flower Ministry - purchase and arrange the flowers for the church each week.

Hospitality - make coffee and keep our hospitality area inviting.

Landscaping Support - help keep the outside of our building and grounds tidy and beautiful.

Lay Reading - serve the congregation in worship by preparing and reading the Holy Scriptures during the service.

Nursery Volunteer Support - on call in the case one of our professional staff members is unavailable to serve on a Sunday morning.

Tech Team - our Graphics, Sound, and Livestream teams facilitate the worship experience for those in the pews as well as those tuning in online.

Welcome Team - Greeters and Ushers to welcome guests and members each morning to worship, connecting them with clergy and other members.

FAITH KIDS

Each Sunday we strive to engage our children and students in learning about God and His Word. Kids of similar ages fellowship together as they explore Biblical truths in age-specific Sunday school classes.

Nursery and Pre-school

Children ages four and under are welcome in the nursery before the 9:30 service, where they can enjoy music, Bible stories, and coloring. They may be picked up following the service.

Faith Kids, Children Grades K-4

Kids are welcome to enjoy the service with their parents in the sanctuary

Faith Foundations, Grades 5-6

These students will begin the service with their parent(s) for praise and worship.  After a prayer, they will be dismissed to their Sunday school class. They will rejoin you in the service to share communion with you and our church family.

Middle School - High School

These students leave worship service at the prayer on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month for special teaching and fellowship. The 1st and 3rd Sundays (and occasional 5th) they remain in the service with their families.

We love our kids and youth volunteers! To volunteer email Krista Handgis.

COMMUNITY GROUPS SERVE, LEARN, AND SHARE LIFE TOGETHER

They are how we encourage each other and grow in our relationship with Jesus. All have a relational focus...both with God and each other.

We have a variety of formats, each with short-term commitments. Sign-ups open up in August and January. Some of our groups are happy to add people during the semester. Please join us!

You may sign up and learn more about all of our community groups here. For more information on Community Groups, click here.

GUYS GATHERING FOR GOOD

Who We Are: A group of men who exist to bring glory to God through knowing, loving and serving our Lord, Jesus Christ.

How: This is done by equipping men with biblical teaching, fellowship, prayer, and discipleship.

Why: The desired outcome is to train men to fulfill their biblically instructed role in the community and home. The men’s ministry group is a place for men to be equipped to engage and serve others. Also, it’s a place for fellowship and accountability with the openness to share ups and downs and be encouraged.

When: We gather on Tuesday mornings at 7 am at Faith Church Anglican, and study Paul’s Letter to the Galatians. Doors open at 6:30 AM for coffee and fellowship. Come early, connect with other men, and grow together in the freedom Christ offers.  Sign up HERE.

FAITH CHURCH GARDEN

The Garden: A place to rest and grow

Faith Church Garden

We invite you to join us in our Faith Garden to grow food, enjoy flowers and miniature fruit trees, and experience the peace and rest of God. Our team meets regularly to add to and maintain the plants, and harvest the fruits for the benefit of those around us. For information about participating with us, or to donate your own surplus vegetables for donation to our local food pantries, please contact Garden Director, Deacon Cindy Telisak - ctelisak@faith-church.org.

WORKING TOWARD THE GREAT COMMISSION

Vision – To create and foster a culture that longs to share Jesus with people wherever they are, near and far. To form a foundational culture of missional living that supports both local and global Community Engagement.

Strategy – Through both local and global Community Engagement partners, we will share Jesus through our service, gifts and prayer.

Local Partners

Restored Hope Ministries in Dallas - To rescue and restore women and their children to normal lives who have been affected by the adverse conditions of life that include: sexual exploitation, human slavery, sexual abuse, poverty, domestic violence, homelessness, and interaction with the criminal justice system. We support the ministry of Restored Hope with our gifts and service and are learning more how to serve with them.

Alton Boyd Elementary School in Allen - We partner with Boyd Elementary, being “Boyd Kind” to our neighbors by supporting the teachers and kids throughout the year. We help with the Christmas Store by providing presents and helping hands, bringing Sonic drinks to tired teachers and are looking for new creative ways to walk beside our neighbors.

First Responders in Fairview - We are reaching out to our local Firefighters, Police Officers and EMTs with meals, cookies and friendships. We are eager to support those who serve our community.

If you want to learn more about any of our partners or how you can plug in with serving our neighbors contact Hans Kunz.

Global Partners

Emiliani Project in Colombia, South America - “Our mission is to protect, nurture and educate abandoned children so that they are able to live healthy and fulfilling lives, from childhood through early adulthood. We achieve this mission by ensuring that all of our children’s needs are met. This includes a home, nutritious meals, formal education, medical care, counseling, and a loving and caring environment. We work with all children in need, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity or gender. We provide monthly support, engage in annual mission trips and build relationships with the leaders and kids.”

The Faith Church team to Colombia has helped to build dorms for kids, paint existing structures and most importantly built lasting relationships with the staff and children they serve. Sharing God’s love through service and presence leads to growing disciples both in Colombia and here in Texas. When we serve, we also grow closer to God and each other. Community Engagement in the world is multi-faceted!

Hope Ignited in Guinea, West Africa - “We work to reshape the imagination of the people of Guinea towards God’s coming Kingdom through gospel centered healthcare, agricultural projects and capacity building programs. We support this amazing ministry on a monthly basis and are exploring new ways to partner with them.” NEWSLETTER
